We are happy to announce a major SkillGym Product Release.
It will be made available for everyone on Sept 7, 2021.
We named this release SkillGym FALLWIND, since like a fallwind blowing down from a cliff takes strength and speed we are bringing some key upgrades able to considerably accelerate SkillGymmers’ behavioral development..

THE STRENGHT OF A FALLWIND
ENHANCED BEHAVIORAL ALGORITHMS
Since 2012 we have been continuously working to improve and develop our behavioral algorithms. We are ready to raise the bar again to improve the way we track and calculate detailed conversation performance through our popular behavioral metrics.
We have implemented an enhanced way to observe users’ behaviors and calculate their impact in critical conversations. This has resulted in an improved and more precise set of behavioral metrics to support and guide user development.
We have also improved our SkillGym Capability Model to provide a full set of 76 soft skills to practice with. It allows an extended coverage of clients’ Competency Models, providing more detailed customization and the unique opportunity to make extremely clear the connection between Soft Skills to be trained and the impact on everyday critical conversations.

This release is fully dedicated to provide additional guidance to the user. We have developed a series of elements supporting and guiding a deeper self-reflection.
CONVERSATION PHASES UNVEILED
Each communication process is broken down into phases. As we already provide the score for each phase in our Analytics page, the Augmented Replay 2.5 now shows the score and duration of each phase on the conversation timeline.
It is a simple feature that unlocks the opportunity to analyze each conversation with a phase-driven approach.
INVESTIGATE MISSED STEPS IN THE CONVERSATION
Practice is all. Consistency is the key.
During conversations we sometimes miss steps, which results in the character becoming confused about what we want to achieve.
Being able to identify, analyze and reflect on these missed steps is now possible—which supports faster and longer-lasting development.
MORE ABOUT HOW TO IMPROVE
There is nothing like a compass when you are in the middle of a storm.
Guidance, guidance, guidance… this is the keyword for the SkillGym FALLWIND release.
We have added more information in the “Conversation Step Details,” providing an additional in-depth explanation about the effect of your behaviors on the conversations.
This is a key improvement that allows you to have a better understanding of the attitude, reactions and answers of the character with whom you had the conversation.
SHOW ME THE BEST PRACTICE
As you know, SkillGym is about practicing critical conversations and reflecting on the impact of acted behaviors. Practice and reflection bring natural improvement in effectiveness and self-awareness.
We reflected a lot about how to guide our users in the best way by doing numerous user tests in recent months. Our conclusion was that solution-based reflection works exceptionally well in behavioral development.
The SkillGym FALLWIND release is the result of this journey. We added the “SHOW ME THE SOLUTION” feature, which allows the user to unveil the most effective interaction for each specific step of every individual conversation played in SkillGym.
Is that all? There is more—we added a detailed “WHY” area where a detailed explanation drives true self-reflection on the impact of the solution.
This ushers in a new key chapter in the development of SkillGym.
