SkillGym is releasing DE&I critical conversation scenarios

AUGUST 31, 2020 9:00 AM ET

The Digital Role Play platform SkillGym is releasing a set of new Critical Conversations scenarios focusing on Diversity, Equality and Inclusion matters. Those new libraries will provide the opportunity to practice top-down and peer-to-peer DE&I conversations.

Chiasso (TI, Switzerland) – The Swiss HRtech solution SkillGym has confirmed that two new libraries of its Digital Role Play Critical Conversations will be available in the next weeks during September 2020.

In the continuous effort to expand the set of Digital Role Play available to practice, SkillGym has accelerated the development process of the DE&I Top-down and Peer-to-peer scenarios to react to the global situation and the growing number of requests from clients. “We are proud to make our part in this movement to support a true awareness on Diversity, Inclusion and Equality topics and we have done a huge effort to anticipate by a couple of months the release of the first 8 DE&I Digital Role Play” has declared Andrea Laus – CEO of SkillGym.

SkillGym professional storytellers have turned eight common situations into authentic, engaging and life-like everyday business stories, bringing DE&I challenges into the actionable practice of critical conversations, delivered through the award-winning SkillGym methodology.
In particular, top-down conversations allow Managers to practice critical conversations with their reports on topic such as age, sexual orientation, race, and gender discrimination or prejudices. On the other side, peer-to-peer conversations allow anyone to practice on similar topics but in different situations where more informal conversations are happening between co-workers.

The aim is to improve people’s self-awareness, communication behaviors and the quality of their inclusive approach in the situations that anyone meets every day on the job.

This first release is just the beginning as SkillGym doesn’t want to stop after these 8 scenarios.
We collaborate on a daily basis with DE&I SME (subject matter experts) to build authentic and really effective conversations, feedbacks, and behavioral analytics able to unveil unconscious biases and help people face and manage their prejudices. Working with them we have been exposed to dozens of other great scenarios and we are now already planning further expansions of DE&I scenarios both in the same context and additional contexts (bottom-up, sales representative-customer, etc..)” declared Matteo Malatesta, Head of Business Design at SkillGym.
